Should I tell my Family?
I’m not sure about telling my family about the fertility challenges that my husband and I are experiencing. We already get the questions, “when are you two going to start a family?” and, “when are we going to hear the pitter patter of little feet?” I swear, if I have to hear my Aunt Tilly tell the story how she and Uncle George were having “issues” (picture the air quotes that she ALWAYS uses) and so they tried different “positions” (again!), I may just lose my mind. So, should I tell them we’re pursuing fertility treatment or will that make matters worse?

Every family is different so unfortunately there is no perfect answer to your question. Some people are very private and choose not to tell anyone about the fertility treatment until they are pregnant and even then, they may not say that it was the result of fertility treatment. Then there are those who tell everyone, including their neighbors and the postman. Sometimes having support from family makes the process easier to bear and sometimes it just raises the level of expectation. You and your husband should discuss this and decide what works best for your individual situation. Every family has its quirks (Aunt Tilly) so you need to figure out what works best for the both of you.
