In Vitro Fertilization Patient Experience

Anna: My husband and I were trying to have a baby for about eight months and we realized it wasn’t working out. And so we took our insurance and we looked at the list of fertility places and this was the first one on the list.

So we went here first and I sure am glad that we did because we came in and right away we met with Dr. Muasher. And I could tell from just the first few minutes of meeting him that this was the place that I wanted us to be. He was respectful. He was a gentleman and I have full confidence in his ability.

So we started off with three IUI’s and they didn’t work, so we moved to IVF. And I was diagnosed with having a high FSH, and I also had a poor response to medication so actually our cycle was something of a disaster. I ended up only producing six follicles. And from talking to people at other clinics, I believed that another clinic might have cancelled a cycle. But I asked Dr. Muasher what I should do and I said, “What would you tell your daughter to do?” He said, “You keep going with this cycle.”

So we did and they only pulled out two eggs, and they both fertilized, and they both implanted, and those are my twins, Henry and Oscar, and they’re almost 21 months right now, and they’re a pleasure.

And the thing about IVF and fertility problems in general is it’s a very difficult process to go through. And being here was a great choice because I always felt like I was being treated with respect. I felt well cared for and I completely trusted Dr. Muasher and the clinic to do everything they could to make sure I had babies. And they did.

Artificial Insemintation Patient Review

MELISSA: We came here after about a year of trying on our own and we were referred by our OBGYN without having success on our own, and we came here to see Dr. Muasher. And we were introduced to everyone on our first appointment and went through all the steps of how the facility works and all of those kind of things.

And we decided to have artificial insemination. We had several attempts and that just didn’t work for us. We moved on to in-vitro fertilization and we had three cycles and our third cycle was the charm. And we actually conceived twins: one boy, one girl, Matthew and Emma.

When we found out we were pregnant, we did receive a phone call from the entire staff on speakerphone with Dr. Muasher congratulating us. So it made it that much more special.

During our whole course of our treatment here at the Muasher Center, we were treated just like family. Every time we came in, they called us by name. We saw the doctor at every appointment. It was a very personal experience.

I would definitely recommend it someone. Anyone I know, I always tell them where we came, and where we had our treatment, and it’s been a great experience. I would definitely come back for another baby. And it’s been great since the babies came. Life changing, and a blessing, and we can’t thank Dr. Muasher and his staff enough.

Male Infertility Treatment

MARISSA: We came here because EJ had a low sperm count, and also because of our age though, and we didn’t really want to try, We really just wanted to have a baby and so we figured we’d go for the help earlier rather than later.
We were recommended to come here by my doctor and when we came here, we had a couple of options. We could do IUI, which is known as artificial insemination. We tried the IUI first. That didn’t work. Then we did the IVF once and then we got pregnant. So we were lucky

And the experience was actually it was really good. I enjoyed coming here. The staff is great. They make you feel warm and welcome. They know your name. They’re very friendly. They’re very just, they’re genuine. They call you by your first name. They ask you how you’re doing. They answer your questions. I called with probably really silly questions a lot of times and they, you know, they were patient with that.

EJ: They basically said nothing’s a silly question. They didn’t make you feel uncomfortable about anything. Of course, I tried to get Dr Muasher to laugh a couple of times when my thing was going on. But he was really serious and didn’t take anything or make jokes or anything like that so. He was very professional, and was very warm, and was easy to go through the process that we had to go through. Or, I had to go through.

MARISSA: We’ve thought about having another and we definitely, you know, we were considering coming back here to do it. I mean so.

EJ: He gives you realistic goals or, you know, expectations of what’s going to happen and we’re happy with that. Didn’t push you to do anything, whether it’s an agenda or not. He said, “These are the options,” and you know, you figure out which one you want to do. Give you the odds on it and boom. You make the decisions, so.
