Prior to joining the Muasher Center for fertility and IVF, Abeer was an embryologist at The Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine, Northern Virginia/D.C. for two years. Abeer's Embryology experience was greatly enhanced through her international work in the IVF unit at King Fahad National Guard Hospital in Riyadh, KSA, an accredited and internationally recognized center of excellence conducting over 700 IVF cycles per year in the Middle East. The unit is a referral center for patients from all over the Middle East. This provided a great opportunity where she performed various IVF procedures including ICSI.
Abeer completed her postgraduate qualification from the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom where she obtained her Master of Philosophy degree. Her training included operating and extensive use of different modern analytical instruments.
Abeer believes that every embryo is unique and valuable because of what it holds. Her future interests are in cellular, molecular, and genetic approaches for advancing human embryonic stem cell research. Abeer is a member of the American Society for Fertility. She is always keen in keeping with developments in the field and in maintaining high standards and safe laboratory practices.
